Cars can harm our planet. Let's start at the beginning.
When dinos died, their bones turned into fossils. Those fossils turned into oil. Today, oil is drilled up to the surface. (Sometimes harming the environment a lot!)
Then, it is turned into gasoline. Finally, it is pumped to the gas station. When a car is told to use gas, this is what happens:
On the inhale stroke, gas is let in a "cylinder".
On the compression stroke, the gas is squeezed.
On the ignition stroke, the gas is lit.
On the exhale stroke, the waste, carbon dioxide, is let out.
Plants take in carbon dioxide and give oxygen, which we breathe.
